Abstract

Language and culture are inseparable elements that shape human communication and perception. Every language carries the history, values, and traditions of the people who speak it. Learning the English language, therefore, cannot be separated from understanding the culture of English-speaking societies. This paper explores the importance of language in learning English culture, emphasizing how linguistic forms mirror cultural values, social norms, and ways of thinking. It also discusses the integration of cultural education into English language learning and teaching, identifying both opportunities and challenges. By combining linguistic and cultural competence, learners can achieve a deeper understanding of English as a global language and participate more effectively in intercultural communication.
