Abstract

The article focuses on theoretical and practical aspects of the smart-destination model implementation in tourist areas. Our study integrates conceptual analysis with data derived from an empirical questionnaire conducted in the Bukhara tourist region. Results indicate that smart technology and data-driven management help improve the quality of service provision, the quality of visitor experience, destination competitiveness, and competitive quality. It is suggested by these results that smart-destination principles adoption drives sustainable tourism development by facilitating new opportunities for regional tourism growth.
